Anniversary Trip Weekend

Okay, so our 3 year Anniversary was in April, but we decided to take a belated trip b/c Dave Matthews Band was going to be in Indiana in July...so Adam got online and got us great seats to see the show! Not only this, but Ingrid Michaelson was opening for DMB! I love Ingrid Michaelson....if you don't know who she is, you can hear a lot of her stuff on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack.
Oh my goodness, though! She was AMAZING live, and of course so was DMB!

We took Friday off work and drove down to Noblesville, IN....we set up camp at a poophole campground...(they must have a very good web technician or something).....Riverbend Campgroud....don't go there....the bathrooms are hideous...the owners don't care what's going on...it was yucky...anyway, we set up, went to dinner and a movie and came back to find our picnic table stolen...ok....no big deal....so we went to bed.....the bathroom was a good 5 minute walk away and smelled like the monkey part of the zoo, so i peed outside the tent several times that night, not caring at all who saw....lol..sorry, too much??? Oh well, oh so true!

Saturday, we got up and decided no matter how hard it was gonna be to find one, we were gonna stay in a hotel Saturday night! Adam called and called and called and finally found us a spot! It proved to be rather difficult as it was DMB and NASCAR weekend and we were just north of Indianapolis! So, we packed up our tent, went to breakfast and shopped around a bit....Then, the morning (or afternoon) sickness kicked in...I thought I was going to die....I apologize to the kind people in the bathroom at Bed, Bath & Beyond.....I couldn't help it....really!
Anyway, I was feeling awful....Adam took such good care of me, an managed to get us an early check in at the Super 8 so I could rest before the concert....So, I took a much needed nap and geared up for a fun night!!!!

We headed to the concert and Ingrid opened the show.....then, we got to meet her and get a autograph after.....It was so exciting! Then, Dave started and it was so cool! We've both wanted to see him for so long, it was surreal! We had really good seats, but I have determined that I am getting old.....

Everyone stood up the whole time....and they should...it's Dave Matthews....but my old, pregnant butt couldn't take it and had to sit down for about a half hour....then I recooped and was ready to boogie again. HOWEVER, I also think I might have a little A.D.D.....there were so many people moving in and out to get drinks, and more drinks, and running around and dancing, I found it hard not to watch them....One guy was hitting on every girl within eye shot....another was trying to ummmm, "get busy" with his date through the whole concert and they were all in my line of vision as I tried to focus on the concert....I just wanted to tell them all to shut up and sit down! Pathetic, I know! It's a concert! BUT, I am old and apparently....a fuddy-duddy....and need DMB to play me a private concert in my yard....All in all, it was still completely amazing!

On the way home Sunday, we stopped at the recently reviewed (on the Food Network) Joe's Gizzard City and ate gizzards and deep fried things.....ummmm, stomach ache and gaseous emissions were to follow.... :) You're welcome....

ANYWAY, that is the haps, peeps!

Aside from the concert fun, it was so fantastic to have some time to reconnect (without a kiddo) with my fabulous husband! We had such a good time together and I love him so much! It was hard to come back to reality! I love you, Adam! Thank you for a wonderful trip!!

I'm kinda sassy sometimes . . .

So, I just called Adam and asked him if he had a back-up concert buddy for this weekend b/c the doctor just called with my U/S results and I couldn't go......

Then, being the horrible liar, I am, busted out laughing at his panicked reaction, BECAUSE

EVERYTHING IS GREAT WITH BABY #2!!!

I DID actually get a call and I do have two small subchorionic hematomas that are actually very small. They have been causing the spotting, and it's probably b/c they may have been larger and are now healing. Because they are so small and because the little one is doing great, they are not a concern. Should I bleed more or anything worsens, then I go back, but in my book.....

ALL IS WELL WITH LITTLE NUBBY!!!

I'm thinking of calling him/her "Nubby" for the time being b/c he/she did wave a little nub at us last night.....let me know what you think....Oh, and for those of you who don't know....Evan was "Bosephus" for his first twenty weeks in my belly... :) Oh, the little nub is measuring about 5 days ahead, probably because if I don't eat every 5 minutes I feel sick, the little thing is well-nourished. SO, the due date is somewhere between Feb 20- 25, 2009.

Here is a link about the "subchorionic hematomas", if you are interested....not that it's really a must-read, but ya know....

SOOooooooooooo, now we know for sure we're off to the Dave Matthews Band concert in Noblesville, IN on Friday....We're so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, that's the news for now..... evan & nubby's mom out......

Suspense

So, I'm sorry, to those of you who have been looking for an update! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

We had an ultrasound last night and as far as we can tell, everything looked good. The baby even waved a little arm or leg nub at us...lol....Anyway, we heard the heartbeat and the heartrate was 170, which she said is strong....The problem is, the U/S tech is not supposed to tell you anything, so we don't really know what she saw. I am very relieved about seeing and HEARING the babe...we just don't know if the cramping and spotting is nothing or if there is a hematoma (which i had with evan) or something else....

So, hopefully, I'll hear from my doctor today and find out that all is well. I will update again when I hear! Sooooo, again, thank you everybody for the extra prayers! You guys are the best. :)

Spotting

i don't like it.....they keep telling me it's normal.....i repeat...i don't like it.......i wish i was an ultrasound tech and I would scan myself daily....and I wouldn't charge myself either. :)

Have a happy weekend, ya'll.....they really are telling me not to panic....I just can't help it...All will be fine! spotty preggo out.

RAZZASQUE WEEKEND!!

Evan and Sagey play so well together....I love to listen to their giggles and little conversations!
I got to bond with Emerson, who is such a sweet, cuddly little man...(with 4 teeth coming in..OUCH!)
Evan was SOOOO excited to see the whole Scripps family....he wouldn't stop hugging Sage. He was also quite romantic with Jill, showing her the moon, then sneaking a kiss on the lips! Ha!
See my yard full of people watching the parade?? So fun!
and below, sagey was helping more little helpless evan get his shoes on every time he needed them! they are so sweet together!
Well, what a weekend we had!!! Pheeeeeew!!! We are exhausted! It was LeRoy's Razzasque Days this last weekend. My mom and dad came up and so did the Jim, Jill & the kids! It all begins Friday with some kid's activities...Evan won a prize in the kid's parade (I'll have to get those pics from Mary). He was a cowboy (the theme was the 1800's)...My sweet boss let me take off in the middle of the day so I could walk with him in the parade! He was so sweet. Both Grandmas got him ready and were there to take care of him all day while I worked!

Adam stayed busy that day as an "official" and he was in charge of running the Fear Factor game they had for the kids....I hear it went over great, but was very messy!! Judging from the bowls piled in my sink when I got home, I would say that is true!

Saturday started with a parade and Johnson's & friends filling up our front yard! It was the first year we've lived in this house, so it was pretty exciting to have everyone there. I wasn't moving too fast Saturday morning, but I think everyone had fun and enjoyed the parade! Adam drove the Citizen's Bank car in the parade (after he played an 8:00 a.m. softball game), worked all day at Chamber of Commerce booth or the Poker Tournament or whatever else he was running around doing! He was sooooo busy...we're hoping next year, more people help out and he can have a little more free time to enjoy. Oooh, and a big thank you to my parents and Jim, who helped out with some of the events! My parents packed up and left Saturday evening.

On Sunday, the Scripps left pretty early and Adam played softball ALL DAY! I was EXHAUSTED and trying to force Evan to take a nap all day, to no avail. All in all, a very fun weekend, but definitely exhausting.....You'll see that I look like poo in the wonderful pics, so generously taken by Jill Scripps of Fireflies Photography! :) (there are more on her website www.jillscripps.typepad.com under 'Recent Stuff')

Anyway, thanks to everyone who came up! Love yous! That's all for now! kj out.

7 WEEKS

That's right, loyal reader!!!!!!! If all goes well this time, Evan is going to be a BIG BROTHER!

We are 7 weeks pregnant today, so it is still early! We did see the doctor yesterday and had an ultrasound of the little peanut and even a flutter of "vascular activity"....we'll go ahead and call that a heartbeat! We are so excited and hopeful and have been so blessed to be able to get pregnant just a few months after the miscarriage. So, we welcome all prayers for a smooth pregnancy and healthy little one on or around February 25, 2009!

Woo-hoooooo!!!! Go Team Johnson!!!!

Preggo out.
